Video: Jake Shields vs Tyron Woodley highlights from UFC 161
Jake Shields returned to his winning ways against Tyron Woodley in the last bout of the UFC 161 prelims on Saturday night. However, it was only mildly more exciting than his winning ways in Strikeforce, with the American Jiu Jitsu practitioner displaying more striking than normal. Shields certainly showed improvement in the technical aspects of his striking, with his punches and low kicks looking crisper, but they still did not appear to be doing damage – even in volume – like his Skrap Pack peers, which left him unable to find the finish with them. Still, he was dominant in the fight with fellow Strikeforce vet Woodley, and was able to secure the workmanlike decision.
