The story book ending was completed last night for Michael Chiesa, as he defeated Al Iaquinta to become this seasons Ultimate Fighter.
Early in the season Chiesa dealt with the untimely death of his father. He left the show for a couple of days, but returned with a new found glory to win the entire tournament.
Not only did he end the story by winning the show, but he did it in dynamic fashion. Chiesa took Iaquinta down early in the first and secured a rear naked choke on the Matt Serra prodigy. Chiesa now heads back to Spokane, Washington with a six-figure UFC contract, a brand new Harley Davidson motorcycle and a cool $40,000 for “Submission of the Night.”
