The suddenly-changed UFC 177 main event saw bantamweight kingpin take T.J. Dillashaw take on UFC debutant Joe Soto after Renan Barao was forced to drop out of the contest on Friday due to weight cut-related medical issues, and it delivered in terms of entertainment. Soto, who won the Tachi Palace Fights in his last bout just a few short weeks ago, was a game opponent, but could only withstand Dillashaw’s kickboxing assault until the 5th round. A head kick from the Team Alpha Male-based champion would end the challenger’s night.
