Vinny Magalhaes returns to the octagon against Igor Pokrajac at UFC 152

Just days after it was announced that Vinny Magalhaes had signed with the UFC, matchmaker Joe Silva has already found him an opponent. It looks like he will be taking on light heavyweight Igor Pokrajac at UFC 152 in September.

The match-up was announced by a tweet from “Showdown” Joe Ferraro.

Just got word: Light Heavyweight Bout added to UFC 152 in Toronto: Vinny Magalhaes VS Igor Pokrajac

Magalhaes (9-5-1) was a finalist on the 8th season of The Ultimate Fighter, but fell short to Ryan Bader. He was then released from the organization and has gone 7-1 since.

Pokrajac (25-8) is on a three fight win streak, most recently defeating Fabio Maldonado at UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier by unanimous decision. He was won more of his fights by way of knockout or technical knockout and will look to continue that against Magalhaes.

UFC 152 will be headlined by the flyweight tournament finals between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson. Also on the card is BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald and Brian Stann vs. Michael Bisping.
