WSOF Global Championships 1 gets inaugural heavyweight title fight

WSOF Global Championships 1 gets inaugural heavyweight title fight between American Top Team product Jeremy May and streaking Russian heavyweight Evgeny Erokhin.

The bout was announced via press release on Friday.

May (13-8) has gone 4-0 since returning to MMA following a loss to David Branch at middleweight in 2011. Since returning in late-2013, May has fought at heavyweight and has won four straight, all by submission. including wins over Darrill Schoonover and Alexei Kudin.

Erokhin (11-4) has won six straight via knockout since losing three in a row in 2013. Some of the names on his recent streak of KO wins include; Brett Rogers, Tim Hague, Mike Kyle and Jeff Monson.

Also on the main card, two lightweight bouts that will see the winners face eachother in the future for the title. Match-ups between Carlo Prater (31-16-1) vs Dylan Fussell (8-2) and Khusein Khaliev (13-1) vs Yoshihiro Koyama (21-8-2) will set up the very first WSOF-GC Lightweight Championship bout.
