The UFC Fight Night 40 main event saw Matt Brown take on Erick Silva in what was scheduled to be a 5 round welterweight clash. As it turns out, they didn’t need all 5, as “The Immortal” weathered Silva’s early onslaught before turning things around midway through the first round. From there, Brown all but completely had his way with with “Indio,” battering him on the feet and on the ground until Herb Dean mercifully ended the bout in the 3rd round.
