UFC signs TUF 2 competitor Josh Burkman

The Ultimate Fighter 2 contestant and former UFC fighter Josh Burkman has been re-signed by the organization.

UFC officials announced the signing on Friday afternoon.

Burkman (27-10) last fought for the UFC in 2008 and was released after a three-fight losing skid. Since leaving the organization, Burkman has gone 9-2 with losses to Jordan Mein and Steve Carl.

Most recently “The People’s Warrior” beat Tyler Stinson via knockout at World Series of Fighting 9 in March. The 34-year-old fought his last five fights under the WSOF banner.

No word on the length of Burkman’s contract or when he will make his debut.
