Yamamoto (18-6) who was once the biggest MMA star in Japan, hasn’t fought for almost three years with several injuries, will be looking to get back in the win column for the first time since 2010.

Salazar (9-3) was riding a four-fight winning streak until he was finished by Mitch Gagnon in the first round last month.  He’ll be looking to begin a new win streak against Yamamoto.

The bout placement for this bout is unknown.

UFC 184 takes place live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on Feb. 28, 2015.  In the main event, the middleweight title goes on the line when champion Chris Weidman takes on Vitor Belfort.  Also featured on the pay-per-view card, UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey takes on Cat Zingano.
