While no date is confirmed, rising UFC women’s strawweight star Paige Van Zant has her next foe — Alex Chambers.
MMASucka.com learned of the match-up from sources close to the fight.
VanZant (5-1) was expected to be a part of the 105-pound The Ultimate Fighter season, however PVZ was turned away due to the fact that she was just 20-years-old. Instead of being a part of the show, she was instead signed to the promotion and is currently 2-0 with victories over Kailin Curran and Felice Herrig. The lone loss on the Team Alpha Male’s record is to fellow UFC strawweight Tecia Torres.
Chambers (5-2) is 1-1 inside the Octagon. In her debut, the 36-year-old lost to Aisling Daly via first round armbar. She followed up with an armbar of her own in her sophomore outing against Kailin Curran.
MMASucka did not confirm which event the bout would take place at, but we did find out that it would be later this summer.
