UFC Will Host Two Events on Same Day In February, Both on Live TV

|

Earlier this week it was speculated that the UFC would hold two events on the same day in February. Following last nights UFC on Versus 6 Post-Fight Press Conference, Dana White cleared this up for the media.

“It’s going to happen,” White said. “It’ll be live in Japan and live in the United States. The fight in Japan would go live on free TV before the (Las Vegas) pay-per-view.”

White has not figured out which free tv outlet they will use, but FOX TV is definitely a possibility.

Fans would obviously worry about the fighter factor. Would one card be more star heavy than the other?

“Both cards would be stacked,” he said.

Another set back could be which event the UFC executives would be at. UFC executive Reed Harris told MMAJunkie earlier this week that this would not be a problem at all.

“I don’t think there will be any challenges,” he said. “(In) our company, we have a lot of people that do this. We have different crews, we have different teams that go out and do these events. Obviously, if we have events that go week after week, we don’t use the same team.”
