(Mumbai, Monday 27th Feb 2012) India’s first MMA Organization Super Fight League (SFL) is proud to announce its first wave of signings: Todd Duffee, Trevor Prangley and Baga Agaev for four fight exclusive deals.
Super Fight League will debut on March 11th at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai and fans from all over the world will be able to tune in and experience the action live and free on YouTube following the announcement of a three year deal with YouTube earlier this month. Headlined by an anticipated HW bout between James Thompson V Bob Sapp, Super Fight League will debut a unique blend of world class fights and top music entertainment.
SFL is committed to developing and showcasing the best domestic Indian talent, cultivated by renowned coach Dan Isaacs, alongside internationally recognised names.
Todd Duffee
KO artist Todd Duffee is set to make waves in the SFL Heavyweight division and is looking forward to his SFL debut.
SFL CEO Ken Pavia (@KenPavia) said: ‘Todd Duffee has shown the potential to be the best HW in the world and we are honored to have signed to a multi fight deal. It is rare you see the unique blend of speed and power from a 260lb MMA fighter, he may be the most athletic HW today. Todd has refocused his efforts and has been training at some of the best camps to hone his talents. I have had amazing reviews from his recent work at AKA.’
Trevor Prangley
Having fought some of the biggest names in the business, South African UFC, Strikeforce, Bellator and Shark Fights vet Trevor Prangley brings with him an impressive record and a commitment to taking on some of his most challenging opponents yet in Super Fight League.
SFL CEO Ken Pavia said: ‘Trevor Prangley comes to the SFL with an amazing resume. He has held the world titles for BoDog, MFC, and Shark Fights. He was a two time All American college wrestler, and the South African National champion. As an MMA fighter he holds wins over the likes of Travis Lutter, Keith Jardine, Yuki Kondo and he finished Chael Sonnen in the first round. Most importantly he is a veteran who is a classy ambassador for the sport.’
Baga Agaev
Known for finishing, 26 years old Baga Agaev is a veteran of 36 fights with only 4 of his fights have gone the distance.
Ken Pavia said: ‘Agaev boasts a 3-1 record against UFC vets including a win over former UFC champion Kevin Randlemen. He has a huge Russian fan base and fans can look forward to seeing this exciting young fighter realize his full potential in SFL.’
Pavia adds: ‘SFL will be hosting regular shows and we understand the importance of signing quality fighters to multi fight deals. Founders Raj Kundra and Sanjay Dutt have a track record for success. They told us to go out and find the best and most exciting fighters available and I believe we are doing just that. Close strategic working alliances with some of the elite promotions around the world have allowed us to bolster our fight cards with some big surprises, but we also understand the value in having fighters signed to multi fight SFL deals.’
