Jim Miller welcomes Pat Healy to the octagon at UFC 159 in New Jersey

|

Pat Healy will make his return to the UFC in over six years and will be welcomed by lightweight division workhorse Jim Miller.

UFC officials announced the lightweight duel on Tuesday evening.

Healy (29-16) was expected to square off with Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez on two different occasions, however injuries occurred and did not allow those bouts to happen.

At the final Strikeforce card earlier this month, Healy defeated late replacement Kurt Holobaugh by unanimous decision.

Miller (22-4) defeated Joe Lauzon in what many considered the fight of the year this past December at UFC 155.

The win came after Miller lost a one-sided match to Nate Diaz, which led Diaz to a UFC lightweight title shot against Benson Henderson and Miller back to the drawing board.

UFC 159 goes down on April 27 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main event will be between the two TUF 17 coaches Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen for the UFC light heavyweight championship.
