A feeling out process for the first thirty seconds. Overeem came in for an uppercut and then clinched. Whenever there is a break, Overeem would throw a punch and then clinch. The first nice combo of the fight was thrown by Overeem with a minute and a half left. The entire first round seemed like a bit of a feeling out process for Overeem.
Following a few punches and a clinch, Overeem just tossed Bigfoot to the ground. Overeem landed punch after punch from Bigfoot’s open guard. Referee Herb Dean stood the two up with thirty seconds to go in the round. Bigfoot finished the round throwing knees from the thai plum.
The third round started with both men going for the takedown. Bigfoot landed a big headkick which stunned Overeem and finished him with a few nicely placed uppercuts.
Following the finish Bigfoot stood over Overeem and finished the trash-talking.
