Coming into this fight Alistair Overeem was pretty much guaranteed a number one contender spot with a win. However, Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva did not see that happening.
He took some punishing punches and knees in the first two rounds, but was able to withstand them. Early in the third round “Bigfoot” had Overeem against the cage and landed a clean uppercut which rocked him, he followed up with some nice punching combinations to drop the big man.
