The World Series of Fighting has added a champion to their roster. Maximum Fighting Championship middleweight champion Elvis Mutapcic has signed a multi-fight deal with the organization.
Numerous sources including Mutapcic himself announced the signing on Tuesday.
Mutapcic (13-2) is currently riding a five fight winning streak with his most recent victory coming over former TUF contestant Sam Alvey at MFC 36 in February. “The King” won the title against Joseph Henle at MFC 35 this past October when he TKO’d him via leg kicks in the third round.
Mutapcic only has two losses on his rap-sheet with his last one coming back in June of 2011. Of his thirteen victories, the 26-year old has only gone to the judges scorecards on two different occasions.
World Series of Fighting held their second event Atlantic City, N.J. in March. The main event showcased Anthony Johnson, as he defeated former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski.
No word as to when Mutapcic will debut with the organization, but the WSOF is expected to hold their third event in June in Las Vegas. The main event at WSOF 3 is expected to be a showdown in the welterweight division between Jon Fitch and Josh Burkman.
