On two different occasions UFC heavyweight fighter Dave “Peewee” Herman has tested positive for marijuana. This has not been unnoticed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, as they forced the heavyweight to pass a drug test prior to being given a one-fight license for his UFC 162 match-up.
Dave Herman passes 10-panel drug test; cleared to fight at UFC 162
On Tuesday, the NSAC Executive Director Keith Kizer sent out an email stating that “Mr. Herman passed his 10 panel drug test.”
Herman is set to face Gabriel Gonzaga on the FX portion of the UFC 162 fight card this Saturday night in Las Vegas.
“Peewee” is riding a nasty three-fight losing streak. His last bout was a submission loss to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira this past October – following the bout Herman tested positive for marijuana and was suspended for six-months.
