“The Savage” will do battle with “Napao” in the latest heavyweight clash announced for UFC 166.

Shawn Jordan vs Gabriel Gonzaga tapped for UFC 166

The Baton Rouge Advocate broke the story earlier today.

Shawn “The Savage” Jordan (15-4) is an athletic prodigy who trains out of Jackson’s MMA. Rare is the heavyweight who can pull off a full backflip, and Jordan is one of those rare few. The agile slugger was last seen at UFC 161, knocking out Pat Barry in the first round of their contest. Will he be able to do the same to the grizzled veteran, Gonzaga?

Gabriel “Napao” Gonzaga (15-7) is no slouch in the cage, either. Famous for his headkick knockout of Mirko CroCop, the former BJJ champion is on his second stint in the Octagon, and making the most of it. After knocking out Dave Herman at UFC 162, “Napao” will be looking to follow-up with a repeat performance against the surging “Savage.” Will he be able to end Jordan’s night early?

UFC 166 goes down on October 19th, 2013 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. The main event is a heavyweight title trilogy match between champion Cain Velasquez and his nemesis, Junior dos Santos. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other upcoming events.
