Nick Newell is an incredibly inspirational athlete who is undefeated through his first nine career fights despite being born with just one fully-developed arm. Due to a birth condition known as congenital amputation, Newell’s left arm stops just past the elbow. Still, Newell never let the condition stand in the way of accomplishing his dreams, and he racked up more than 300 wins in his high school and college wrestling career. Now 27 years old, Newell makes his World Series of Fighting debut with a perfect 9-0 mark that has already seen him earn a lightweight title on the regional stage. He meets Keon Caldwell, a once-beaten 23-year-old prospect who was a cast member of “The Ultimate Fighter 13.” All nine of Caldwell’s wins have come by stoppage, including eight by knockout. Eight of his 10 fights have ended in the opening round.
