Flyweights collide in the first bout of tonight’s UFC 163 main card with John Lineker taking on crafty veteran Jose Maria Tome.
Round 1 saw Maria Tome starting out with leg kicks, only to be quickly dropped by a right from Lineker. Jose is back to his feet now, and eventually manages to start landing shots that are rocking his younger opponent, including a stiff spinning backfist. Things eventually evened out, with both men standing and trading, and Linneker just managing to to take the round home.
Round 2 started out even again, but Lineker eventually took control and put Jose Maria Tome down for the count at 1:03 in the second round.
