Just seconds before Elvis Mutapcic and Jesse Taylor were supposed to square off in the semifinals of the World Series of Fighting middleweight tournament, officials have scrapped the fight.

Nick Lembo of the New Jersey Athletic Commission had to call the fight because officials witnessed one of Mutapcic’s cornermen give him an unknown prescription.

New Jersey commission does not know what medicine Mutapcic took, in fact, they didn’t actually see him take it, however, they have to go with safety first.

According to Mutapcic, he is completely clean and he will take a blood test or a hair sample. He believes it was a mistake of identity, as his manager, who was dressed the same, has a heart condition and was taking medication for that.

World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo has confirmed that Taylor and Mutapcic will receive their show money, as it was the corner’s fault. Sefo also said that we could possibly see Mutapcic vs. Taylor go down in October.
