While he may be specially trained, how will Brazilian BOPE officer Paulo Thiago deal with a “Rukus”? According to Thiago, we’ll find out on November 9th in Goiania, Goias, Brazil when he takes on Brandon Thatch.
Paulo made the announcement via his Twitter account earlier today.
CONFIRMADA MINHA PRÓXIMA LUTA: 9 DE NOVEMBRO EM GOIANIA CONTRA BRANDON THATCH CONTO COM A TORCIDA DE VCS. CAVEIRA!!!

Paulo Thiago (15-5) came into the UFC in 2009 on the heels of a 10-fight winning streak, and shocked the world with a TKO victory over Josh Koscheck. Since then, his career has been a little more middling, going 4-5 with his last fight being a victory over Michel Richard de Prazeres at UFC on FX 8. The 32 year old submission specialist from Constrictor Team will be looking to go on his first win streak since 2009-2010. Will he be able to do this and stop the “Rukus”?
Brandon “Rukus” Thatch (10-1) may not have been on a lot of people’s radar when it was announced he would make his UFC debut opposite Justin Edwards, but he put himself there with a decisive TKO victory. The Grudge Training Centre product, who trains with the likes of Pat Barry and Brendan Schaub, has finishes in all 10 of his victories, with his only loss by decision. Will he be able to continue that streak with a victory over the durable Thiago?
