Michael Johnson vs. Gleison Tibau announced for UFC 168

Michael “The Menace” Johnson (13-8) first came to prominence on The Ultimate Fighter Season 12, losing in the finals to Jonathan Brookins. Since then, Johnson has struggled, trading wins and losses, with his most recent fight being a victory over Joe Lauzon. A member of the Blackzillians, Johnson showcased an improved game against “J-Lau” in a fight that had many people writing him off. Will “The Menace” be able to make it 2 in a row with a win over Tibau?

Gleison Tibau (28-9) is – without a doubt – the largest lightweight in the UFC, regularly weighing in over a 180 lbs. on fight night. The massive Brazillian is currently on a 2 fight winning streak, with his last fight being a split decision win over the ever-game Jamie Varner. The American Top Team powerhouse will be looking for a third win to hopefully position himself within striking distance of a title shot. Will he be able to do this over “The Menace?”

UFC 168 goes down on December 28th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV. The card is topped by a rematch between new middleweight kingpin Chris Weidman and the man he dethroned, Anderson Silva. Also featured is a UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title rematch between Ronda Rousey and her arch-nemesis, Miesha Tate. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other upcoming events.
