The younger brother of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, Sergio has been signed by the UFC.

The news of the signing was first reported by Combate.

Pettis (9-0) claimed another victim this past weekend at a North American Fighting Championship event where he submit James Porter in the very first round. He is currently a title holder at 135-pounds with the North American Fighting Championship and at 125-pounds with the RFA.

The 20-year old who is still undefeated in his young career has bounced between the flyweight and bantamweight divisions in his nine pro fights. According to the report from Combate, Pettis will make his promotional debut at UFC 167 in the bantamweight division against an unnamed opponent.

UFC 167 will take place on November 16 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main event is a welterweight title clash between champion Georges St.Pierre and long-waiting challenger Johny Hendricks. Stay tuned to MMASucka.com for more on this and other upcoming fights.
