WSOF 7 fight card begins to take shape with latest undercard additions

Horodecki (19-4) won the XFFC lightweight title in his last outing with a first round arm-triangle submission against Tim Smith in July. No opponent has been announced for “The Polish Hammer” but he will be squaring off at 145-pounds.

Starnes (15-8) is currently riding a three-fight winning streak with his most recent victory over Clay Davidson at Fivestar Fight League 8 in Penticton in August. He also beat David Perron and Tim Hague during the streak as well. Lewis (13-8) is a veteran of the sport with the majority of his fights coming under the MFC banner. Most recently though he fought and defeated Tim Chemelli at AFC 19 in July.

Hill (5-2) amassed a 5-0 record before joining the cast of TUF 16. Since losing on the show he has gone on a two-fight losing streak to Joel Powell (AFC 18) and Ryan Ford (AFC 19).  Knippelberg (8-2) is best known for his submission skills and has utilized them in two of his three bouts on his current winning streak. Most recently he defeated Danny Davis Jr. back in October 2012 at a Caged Rage event.

Machan (10-4) is a King of the Cage Canada champ who has won nine of his ten fights via submission. At HFC 2 he beat John Fraser via first round submission in June. Albrecht (9-5) has won his last two fights and is the current Fivestar Fight League featherweight champion. He is currently riding a two-fight winning streak with victories over Baz Cunningham and Travis Matthews.

Perron (5-2) most recently fought Starnes at AFC 18 where he lost to via second round TKO. It was a year earlier where he picked up a guillotine choke victory against Daniel MacIver. Baker (9-4) is looking to build off his last fight where he defeated Darrio Mobley via first round guillotine at Fivestar Fight League 8 in August.

Brakefield (3-1) will look to keep the ball rolling against Kornberger at WSOF 7, as he is coming off a big first round submission victory over Jake Asher at BFL 25 in  September. Following that victory “Mitey” made the trek to Ontario to tryout for TUF Nations and impressed the UFC head honchos. Kornberger (3-0) hasn’t fought since January 2012 where he defeated Allen Hope at MFC 32. Conditioning may play a part in this bout, as all three of Kornberger’s professional bouts have come almost one-year apart from each other.

Chiappe (10-8) showed how heavy his hands are in his last bout, when he knocked out Aaron Shymr early in the first round at Fivestar Fight League 8 in August.  “Ruthless” is a veteran of the sport who will look to get another one in the win column at WSOF 7. Vinicios (9-7) will also look to get that winning streak going against Chiappe, as he most recently defeated  Dia Grant at AFC 20 in August.

WSOF 7 goes down on December 7 from the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver, BC. The main event is a light heavyweight battle between Anthony Johnson and Mike Kyle. Tickets for the event are on sale now and begin at $29, you can purchase them HERE.
