BRACE 24 adds Kevin Manderson vs Jacob Pettett

|

With BRACE set to stage its 24th installment later this month, the fight card for the event looks to be shaping up rather nicely.

Previously announced match-ups for BRACE 24 include a Featherweight title headliner between Luke Standing (4-0) and Martin Nguyen (2-0), and two 145-lbs tilts featuring Peter Cross (1-3) vs. Darwin Sugarit and Jan Johannes Van Aswegan (2-0) vs. Jeshua McPhail (1-0).

Now, a Lightweight bout pitting Kevin Manderson (16-14-1) against Jacob Pettett (5-7) has been added to the mix.

Officials made all announcements through the Facebook platform.

BRACE 24 takes place November 29 at the AIS Arena in Canberra, Australia. Fans can catch all the action LIVE on an online PPV for a price of AUD $14.99 at http://www.epicentre.tv.

Kevin Manderson was stopped in just 26 seconds by Phuket Top Team new boy Gokhan Turkyilmaz in the main event of BRACE 23, which  took place less than a fortnight ago in Townsville, Australia. That was the Winnipeg, Manitoba native’s fifth defeat in his previous six outings. Despite the recent slump in form, however, Manderson brings a vast array of experience to the BRACE cage, having fought the likes of Mark Bocek, TJ Grant and Jordan Mein among others.

He’s set to face Jacob Pettett, an Australia-native currently on a two-fight losing skid. Pettett was last seen in June, in a TKO defeat against “Ruthless” Rob Lisita. He makes his promotional BRACE debut on November 29.

The latest BRACE 24 line-up now includes:

  • Luke Standing vs. Martin Nguyen (For BRACE Featherweight Championship title)
  • Peter Cross vs. Darwin Sugarit
  • Jan Johannes Van Aswegan vs. Jeshua McPhail
  • Kevin Manderson vs. Jacob Pettett
