Jake Ellenberger reportedly hurt, possibly out of UFC Fight Night 34 main event

The UFC’s south Asian debut may have taken a hit with reports the Jake Ellenberger has suffered an injury in training. “The Juggernaut” allegedly suffered a leg injury while working on his striking technique at King’s MMA.

Jake Ellenberger reportedly hurt, possibly out of UFC Fight Night 34 main event

Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger (29-7) has been a fixture in the UFC’s welterweight top 10 for some time now. A strong wrestler a bent for violence on the feet, Ellenberger has managed to notch 20 of his 26 wins by some form of stoppage due to strikes. Last seen losing a decision to Rory MacDonald at UFC on FOX 8, the Reign MMA product was hoping to get back on the winning track with a victory over scheduled opponent Tarec Saffiedine.

UFC Fight Night 34 is scheduled to go down on January 4th, 2014 in the south Asian city-state of Singapore. The main event was scheduled to be a welterweight clash between Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine, but that is now up in the air due to an alleged injury to Ellenberger.
