While the fight may not have a home yet, it looks like we’ll be getting a barn burner of a fight when Ivan Menjivar takes on Hatsu Hioki in March.
There has been no word from the UFC, but Menjivar tweeted about the fight this morning.
Hi @hatsu_hioki I pleasure to go in the @ufc cage agains you! See you in march. Bye

Ivan Menjivar rumored to be taking on Hatsu Hioki on to-be-determined March fight card
“The Pride of El Salvador” Ivan Menjivar (25-11) has had a long, storied career in the lighter weight classes. From being the first opponent of Georges St. Pierre to kicking Urijah Faber while he’s down, the El Salvadorian immigrant has done everything but hold a UFC title. Currently on a 2 fight losing skid, Menjivar will be looking to turn it around with a win over the younger Hioki. Will he be able to his experience to propel him to victory over the Japanese fighter?
Hatsu Hioki (26-7) came into the UFC with a lot of hype, with some even pegging him as a challenge to featherweight champ Jose Aldo. After gaining victories over George Roop and Bart Palazewski, the hype train came to a crashing halt as Hioki went on a 3 fight losing skid, most recently losing to Darrin Elkins by decision. Now, with a move to bantamweight, Hioki is hoping to jumpstart his career. Will he be able to do so with with a win over the cagey veteran, Menjivar?
