A featherweight battle between Brazil’s Felipe Arantes and Maximo Blanco has been added to the UFC Fight Night 36 fight card.
UFC Fight Night 36 in Brazil adds Felipe Arantes vs Maximo Blanco
UFC officials announced the match-up on Thursday.
Arantes (15-6-1 2NC) is coming off a split decision loss to Kevin Souza at UFC Fight Night 28 in September. Prior to that contest, “Sertanejo” picked up a big TKO victory over Godofredo Castro. The 25-year old is 2-2-1 under the UFC banner.
Blanco (9-5-1 1NC) is also coming off a loss, however his came due to landing an illegal knee against Akira Corassani at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. Since coming over from Strikeforce, Blanco has gone 1-2 inside the Octagon.
Arantes vs. Blanco will likely take place on the preliminary portion of the UFC Fight Night 36 fight card.
UFC Fight Night 36 goes down on February 15 from the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Caarina, Brazil. The main event is a middleweight match-up between Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi.
