UFC officials today announced that a Welterweight bill pitting Dong Hyun Kim (18-2-1, 1 NC) against John Hathaway (17-1) has been set as the headliner for “The Ultimate Fighter: China” finale, which will take place on March 8th at the Cotai Arena in Macau, China.
The event is expected to stream LIVE on the UFC Fight Pass.
Both fighters were present at the UFC Fight Night 34 weigh-ins held in Singapore today to promote the bout.

Kim (pictured) and Hathaway were originally scheduled to fight one another at UFC 120, before an injury forced the former to withdraw from the contest. Mike Pyle served as a replacement for Kim and managed to defeat his English counterpart that night in England, handing Hathaway his first career setback.
Hathaway, 26, is one of the brightest prospects in the UFC boasting an incredible 17-1 record. The Welterweight starlet is 7-1 under the promotion’s banner, and has notched notable victories over Diego Sanchez, Rick Story and John Maguire.
Kim, meanwhile, has been taking the Mixed Martial Arts scene by storm with a string of good performances. The South Korean is coming off a highlight-reel knockout victory over Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 29. Prior to that, he garnered wins over the likes of T.J. Grant, Amir Sadollah, Nate Diaz and Paulo Thiago among others. His only two defeats in the octagon have come against top contenders Carlos Condit and Demian Maia.
This will be the UFC’s second event in China following UFC on FUEL TV 6.
