Members of the Commonwealth and TUF alumni will square off in England at UFC Fight Night 37, as Canada’s Roland Delorme is set to take on the UK’s own Davey Grant.
UFC officials announced the new bout earlier today.
Roland Delorme vs Davey Grant announced for UFC Fight Night 37
“Stunning” Roland Delorme (9-2, 1 N/C) first caught the UFC’s attention as a competitor on the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter as a member of Team Miller. Delorme was last seen at UFC 165, losing a split decision to Alex Caceres, a defeat that snapped what was technically a 4 fight unbeaten streak (A loss to Francisco Rivera was overturned into a No Contest after Rivera tested positive for a banned substance). Now, the Winnipeg, MB grappling specialist and former restauranteur will be looking to rebound with a victory over fellow TUF alumni Davey Grant. Will he be able to avoid two straight losses with a victory over the Brit?
“Dangerous” Davey Grant (8-2) also got his first taste of the UFC spotlight via The Ultimate Fighter, this time on the 18th season. A member of Team Rousey, Grant would make the finals by defeating Roland Delorme’s training partner Louis Fissette in the quarter-finals, and then gain a bye in the semi-finals after teammate Anthony Gutierrez failed to make weight. Grant would then suffer defeat at the hands of Team Tate’s Chris Holdsworth at the TUF 18 Finale. He’ll be looking to show the fans he is worthy of a place in the UFC with a win over Delorme. Will he stake his claim and earn his place in the UFC’s bantamweight division?
