UFC officials announced the injury on Tuesday.

Caraway (18-6) had a three-fight winning streak snapped by Takeya Mizugaki, but bounced back with a guillotine choke victory over Johnny Bedford at UFC 159 in April. Caraway has been inactive since then, due to the filming of season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter.

Martins (14-1) lost his UFC debut to Edson Barboza in January, however has followed up with two wins in a row. He knocked out Jeremy Larsen at UFC on FX 8 in May and most recently at UFC Fight Night 28 in September “Mineiro” tapped out Junior Hernandez in his bantamweight debut.

Martins will now wait for a replacement for Caraway.

UFC 170 goes down Feb. 22nd from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. The main event is a Women’s Bantamweight Championship bout pitting two former Olympians against each other, as 2008 freestyle wrestling silver medalist Sara McMann challenges 2008 judo bronze medalist Ronda Rousey.
