Lightweights Jim Miller and Bobby Green will do battle inside the Octagon at UFC 172 in Baltimore.
Jim Miller takes on Bobby Green at UFC 172 in Baltimore
UFC officials announced the fight on Friday evening.
Miller (23-4 1NC) is ranked number 9 in the UFC’s lightweight division and is coming off a big first round victory against Fabricio Camoes at UFC 168 in December. The New Jersey native is 2-0 1NC in his last three outings — his no-contest was overturned from a loss, after Pat Healy tested positive in his UFC 159 post-fight drug test.
Green (22-5) is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak and is 3-0 inside the Octagon. “King” was expected to take on Abel Trujillo at UFC 169, however he was forced to withdraw due to health reasons. His most recent victory came against Pat Healy at UFC on FOX 9 in December 2013.
No word as to where on the fight card the Miller vs. Green fight will take place.
UFC 172 will go down on April 26 from Maryland’s Baltimore Arena. The main event is a light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira.
