Kiichi Kunimoto vs. Daniel Sarafian announced for UFC 174
UFC officials confirmed the match-up on Tuesday, after The Province first reported it.
Kunimoto (16-5) made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 34 and earned the victory by disqualification when Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr. landed an illegal elbow to the back of Kunimoto’s head. The Osaka native is currently riding a four-fight winning streak and will look to get a decisive win at UFC 174 in Vancouver.
Sarafian (8-4) has fought inside the Octagon three times and is 1-2. Most recently Sarafian is coming off a split decision loss to Cezar Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 32 this past November. His lone UFC victory came over Eddie Mendez in June of last year.
The Kunimoto vs. Sarafian bout will likely take place on the evenings preliminary card.
UFC 174 is set to go down on June 14 from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC.
