The UFC will make the first stop in Berlin, Germany this May and the main event is now set, as the organization announced a middleweight match-up — Gegard Mousasi vs. Mark Munoz.

UFC officials announced the marquee fight on Thursday.

Mousasi (34-4-2) is coming off his first loss since April 2010, as Lyoto Machida earned a unanimous decision in Mousasi’s return to middleweight. The former DREAM and Strikeforce champion is 1-1 inside the Octagon with his lone victory coming over Ilir Latifi last April.

Munoz (13-4) is also coming off a loss to Machida, as he was knocked out last October in the main event at UFC Fight Night 30 in Manchester. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” was riding a four-fight winning streak through 2011, but that was snapped when he was knocked out by Chris Weidman in mid 2012. He was able to come back from the loss and earn a unanimous decision victory over Tim Boetsch at UFC 162.

The main event between Mousasi and Munoz is the first fight announced for the Berlin card. This will be the third time the UFC has made the trip to Germany, in 2009, the UFC made their debut in Cologne for UFC 99 and came back one year later for UFC 122 in Oberhausen.

UFC Fight Night 41 goes down on May 31 from O2 World Berlin in Germany.

Tickets go on sale to UFC Fight Club members on April 2, UFC.com e-newsletter subscribers on April 3 and the general public on April 4. The starting price of tickets is €50.
