Heavyweight gold is up for grabs at WSOF 14, as Smealinho Rama takes on Derrick Mehmen for the inaugural title.
WSOF 14 adds Smealinho Rama vs Derrick Mehmen for inaugural heavyweight title
The match-up was first reported by MMAFighting.com, but confirmed by WSOF officials.
Rama (8-1) is coming off a giant TKO victory against Tim Hague at Unified 19 in May. Prior to that fight he earned a unanimous decision against Steve Mocco at WSOF Canada 1 earlier this year.
Mehmen (18-5) holds a ridiculous six-fight winning streak with three of those victories coming under the WSOF banner. In his promotional debut he knocked out Rolles Gracie and followed up with victories over Scott Barrett and most recently Dave Huckaba.
WSOF 14 takes place on October 11 in Edmonton, Alberta and will be headlined by welterweight’s Ryan Ford vs. Jake Shields.
