UFC middleweight Francis Carmont has been released from the UFC.
Carmont (22-10) came into the UFC riding a five-fight winning streak and continued inside the Octagon with another six in a row. At that point he was ranked in the top 10 on the UFC’s official rankings, so his opponents got tougher.

The Tristar product’s release comes after losing his last three fights. The downward slide began in early 2014 when he lost a unanimous decision to Ronaldo Souza, he followed up in May with a loss to C.B. Dolloway and most recently was knocked out by Thales Leites.
Carmont announce his retirement on his official Facebook page.
The French-Canadian will likely find a new fighting home quickly.
