Middleweight fighters Lyoto Machida and CB Dollaway are set to share the cage at UFC Fight Night this winter, in Machida’s home country, Brazil.

UFC officials announced the bout through a Twitter video post with Ronda Rousey, which was posted on the UFC Brazil Twitter account.

Machida (21-5) dropped down to middleweight about a year ago and looked great in his first two fights, where he defeated Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi by knockout and decision, respectively, and in both fights he headlined Fight Night cards.  He then fought for the title against current champ Chris Weidman but failed to capture gold in a second weight division, losing a unanimous decision.  If he had won, he would’ve been the third fighter to become a champion in two different weight divisions, as he is the former light heavyweight champion.  Randy Couture and B.J. Penn are the only fighters to have done so.

CB Dollaway (16-6) has also had some recent good luck.  He is the owner of a two fight winning streak which includes a knockout over Cezar Ferreira and an upset over former UFC fighter Francis Carmont, who was cut by the UFC today.  His last loss was delivered by Tim Boestch, although the split decision result was controversial.

UFC Fight Night 58 takes place at the Jose Correa Arena in Barueri, Brazil on Dec. 20, 2014.  It is expected to air live on FOX Sports 1 with early preliminary bouts streaming live on UFC Fight Pass.  No other bouts have been announced for the event.
