UFC Fight Night 52 goes down from the legendary Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan this Saturday evening.
Heavyweights Roy Nelson and Mark Hunt will do battle in a slugfest of a main event. In the co-main event, undefeated prospect Myles Jury will take Japanese veteran Takanori Gomi.
Many eyes are on the women’s contest between former Strikeforce Champion Miesha Tate and Japan’s own Rin Nakai, which is featured on the main card.
The twelve-fight card will air exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
The image below is all of the prices of fighters in the UFC Fight Night 52 Kountermove games. If you are interested in playing and unsure of whom to pick for your five, we will give you a bit of our insight.
If you have never played Kountermove before, it’s very simple — you have $25,000 to spend. To make the most of your money, you will more than likely not be able to take more than one favorite. With a team of five, you will look to stay at about a $5,000 average
Best Bets
Myles Jury ($5400) – How can you not bet on a guy that is undefeated at 14-0 in his professional career. At $5400 he is a tad high, but there is no reason to jump at this one because 11 of his 14 victories have come by stoppage and if this fight with Takanori Gomi goes the way I expect it to, that will be the case here too.
Gomi has been very up and down over the last few fights and Jury presents himself as a very tough challenge.
Kyoji Horiguchi ($5200) – Horiguchi has lost one bout in the last four years and it was a decision in early 2012. Since then he has gone on a seven fight winning streak with two of those inside the Octagon.
In his last bout against Darrell Montague, “The Supernova” made his flyweight debut and impressed by winning over the judges. Expect a much better performance out of the Japanese native in his sophomore outing as a 125er.
Underdog Picks
Sam Sicilia ($4700) – Making the trip over seas is not always an easy one, but for Sam Sicilia it shouldn’t matter, as he looks to get in and out of the cage as quick as possible.
The man who holds one-punch knockout power will look to continue on his winning ways against countryman Katsunori Kikuno.
Johnny Case ($4800) – Johnny Case was on Sucka Radio last week and the man is as relaxed as they come. He feels this UFC debut is just like any other fight and being undefeated since 2010 he will look to start off his Zuffa career with a bang.
His price tag is low, but he is a finisher, with 11 knockouts and five submissions. I believe he could be your best bet even though he is an underdog.
