Forrest Griffin wins Fantasy Football League; Donates $5k to charity

|

If you won $5,000 from a Fantasy Football league, I’m sure you could think of many things to do with the money. Well, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin won the Dave, Mahoney and DK Morning Show fantasy football league this year and he decided to donate his $5,000 winnings directly to charity.

This wasn’t the first year that Griffin had played in the league, in fact since his first year of playing, the TUF 1 winner has said that if he won he would donate to charity.

“Forrest has played in the Dave, Mahoney and DK Morning Show fantasy football league for the past three years,” morning show host Dave Farra told MMASucka.com. “Every year he vows to donate his winnings to charity and today he made good on that promise, giving his $5000.00 check to Three Square which is a great organization that helps feed hungry kids here in Las Vegas. With his donation 3 Square can provide 15,000 meals for needy kids in Vegas. Forrest is a model citizen, and incredibly generous with his time and money when it comes to supporting charities here in the valley. It’s an honor to have him play in our fantasy football league every year.”

The 12-man league featured the Mayor of Las Vegas, Chumlee (Pawn Stars), T.J. Lavin (BMX rider) and other local celebs join us every year.

Griffin had an average season, however once he picked up Odell Beckham Jr. he propelled himself right to the top and won out in the he finals over morning show host DK.
