The UFC has signed current CFFC bantamweight champion Jimmie ‘El Terror’ Rivera who will makes his debut in Glasgow vs. Marcus Brimage.

Rivera confirmed the signing on Instagram late Tuesday, whereas Emi Candido confirmed the fight on Twitter shortly after.

Rivera (16-1) is the current CFFC bantamweight champion as well as the former Ring of Combat and King of the Cage bantamweight champions. Though 11 of his victories come by way of decision, he is coming off one of the biggest victories in his career, knocking out Carson Beebe in sixteen seconds this past May. He has not lost since his second pro fight, dropping a split decision to Jason McLean. He has four wins in the Bellator cage as well as a win in WSOF. Rivera lost to Dennis Bermudez in the entry fights of TUF 14.

Brimage (7-4) is a veteran of season fourteen of the Ultimate Fighter and has amassed a record of 4-3 in the UFC. Brimage won his first three fights in the promotion, before meeting Conor McGregor in Sweden. After that fight he made the drop from 145 to 135 to compete as a bantamweight. He lost his debut to Doane, bounced back with a brutal knockout of Tuerxun, and most recently lost to Cody Garbrandt via TKO with just 10 seconds left in the final round at UFC 182 in January.

The bouts placement on this card is unknown at this time.

UFC Fight Night 72 will take place on July 18 at the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland and will be headlined by a middleweight fight between Michael Bisping and Thales Leites. The co-main event pits lightweights Ross Pearson and Evan Dunham against one another.
