UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion has fought twelve times and has fought in eight bouts scheduled for 25-minutes, however her total fight time for those contests adds up to an astounding 25-minutes and 36-seconds. She has truly become one of the greats in the sport and Paramount Pictures has recognized this by securing the rights to her New York Times bestselling autobiography My Fight/Your Fight.
Ronda Rousey will star in biopic My Fight/Your Fight
The news dropped on Monday and according to Variety.com, Rousey is set to star in the biopic.
Godzilla, Pacific Rim and Role Models Producer Mary Parent will take to the helm alongside Rousey.
“It’s a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen,” Parent said to Variety.com.
The champion made her big screen debut in 2014’s The Expendables 3 and has since had roles in Furious Seven and Entourage. Rousey has a role in Peter Berg’s Mile 22 which is in pre-production and is set to be released in 2016.
This past Saturday Rousey was in and out of the Octagon in 37-seconds, as she knocked out Bethe Correia in the main event at UFC 190 in Brazil.
The film adaptation of My Fight/Your Fight will more than likely happen in late 2016.
