UFC 191 Odds Update and Other News

|

UFC 191 will be an event for the ages with a main event that is slated to be one of the best fights of all time. In fight circles, the term “slated to be” has been used countless times. This rematch has been heavily anticipated since their last title bout in 2013 though, where many feel John Dodson was cheated out of the belt.

UFC 191 Odds Update

UFC ON FOX: Johnson vs. Dodson was a back-and-forth see-saw battle with Dodson scoring knockdowns in the first three rounds, but surrendering more in the final two. This fight has everything you could hope for and could be one of the few title bouts in UFC history that lives up to its hype. Looking to the odds for UFC 191 at sports betting site TopBet.eu and see that while Johnson (-500) is the favorite, Dodson (+350) hasn’t been counted out.

Demetrius Johnson will be defending his title for the seventh time, which is the most among active fighters. He’s also been called, “The best fighter on the planet earth” by Joe Rogan. He is the real deal and the odds show that.

With that said, John Dodson should not be counted out. He came out like a bull in their first bout and has been on a warpath ever since. He’s trained by one of the best fighting minds in the country Greg Jackson and has been hungry for this rematch for years. He’s believed he should be the champion since 2013 and now is his chance to prove why.

Meanwhile, the other main card fights are no throw aways. Former heavyweight champions faceoff in Frank Mir and Andre Orlovksi. Number one lightweight contender Anthony Johnson takes on Jimi Manowa. Jan Blachowicz of Poland faces fellow light heavyweight Corey Anderson, while 21-year old new Reebok posterchild Paige VanZant looks to keep her winning ways going against Alex Chambers to round out the card.

UFC 191 will surely bring the summer to a close with a bang and it will all go down Saturday September 5th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
