A middleweight number one contender bout is set for Battlefield Fight League 43, as Brendan Kornberger welcomes Mike Jasper to Canadian soil for the first time at BFL 43.
The bout will be for a shot at the BFL 185-pound title strap, which is currently held by Zuma MMA’s Ryan Janes.

Kornberger (6-2) had an outstanding performance at BFL 41 in January, as he TKO’d Nicolae Curry at the end of the first round. This bout got him back onto the winning track, as his fight before that was against Janes for the title and despite tagging the current champ a number of times, he was tapped out in the fourth round.
Jasper (9-3) started off his career on a seven-fight winning streak, but has since gone 2-3. Most recently, the California native fought Gabriel Checco at RFA 41 last October where he fell short and was finished via submission in the third round. This will be Jasper’s first BFL appearance and first fight in front of the Canadian crowd.
BFL 43 goes down on May 7 from the Hardrock Casino in Coquitlam B.C.
