Erik Koch vs. Drew Dober slated for UFC 203
Koch (15-4) was out of action for two-years due to a number of injuries and when he returned, he came back with a bang. At UFC Fight Night 88 in May, “Newbreed” tapped out Shane Campbell in the second round. This victory put Koch back on his winning ways, as before being injury plagued, the 27-year-old suffered a first-round TKO loss to Daron Cruickshank.
Dober (16-7, 1NC) is 2-3 with 1 no-contest inside the Octagon. The 27-year-old made his UFC debut in 2013 and he lost his first two outings, but went on to submit long-time veteran Jamie Varner in late 2014. Dober went on to lose two more in a row, however one was changed to a no-contest, as the commission ruled Leandro Silva’s submission stoppage being a referee error. Most recently Dober earned himself a unanimous decision victory against Scott Holtzman at UFC 195 in January.
UFC 203 goes down on September 10 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The main event is for the heavyweight championship, as Stipe Miocic squares off with Alistair Overeem.
