DENVER – Returning for the second time this year, the world’s premier kickboxing league will once again visit Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. for GLORY 44 Chicago and GLORY 44 SuperFight Series on Friday, Aug. 25.

Sears Centre Arena has been played home to three historic striking events already, with capacity crowds cheering on the organization’s biggest stars at GLORY 11 (Oct. 2013), GLORY 27 (Feb. 2016) and GLORY 38 (Feb. 2017).

“When we announced GLORY 38 late last year, I talked about making the Chicago area a regular stop on our event calendar and the history that’s been already been made with our partners at Sears Centre Arena,” said GLORY CEO Jon J Franklin. “Well, we’re back!

“GLORY 38 was a massive success thanks to our fans and we’re looking to create that same energy and excitement once again with a big-time fight card.”

Illinois native and hometown hero Richard “Maximus” Abraham (11-5, 4 KO, fighting out of the United States) will battle a worthy welterweight challenger, while Cătălin “The Carpathian Death” Moroșanu (44-10, 26 KO, fighting out of Romania), who captured the hearts and minds at GLORY 38 with his passion, prepares for a heavyweight foe.

Match-ups for GLORY 44 Chicago and GLORY 44 SuperFight Series will be announced in the coming weeks.

Early access to a limited number of VIP seats will be available for purchase starting tomorrow, June 9 at 10 a.m. CT by visiting tickets.glorykickboxing.com/us.

Then on Friday, June 16 at 10 a.m. CT, all tickets (including general admission) for GLORY 44 Chicago and GLORY 44 SuperFight Series will be available for online purchase at searscentre.com and the Sears Centre Arena box office.
