“The Funkmaster” Aljamain Sterling bounced back into the win column at UFC Fight Night 128. Sterling earned a unanimous decision against Brett Johns.

On Thursday morning the Serra-Longo product called out the former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz.

Cruz (22-2) has not stepped foot inside the Octagon since December 2016. “The Dominator” lost his title to Cody Grabrandt at UFC 207. Prior to that loss, Cruz was plagued by injuries, but still managed to build an impressive 13-fight winning streak.

Sterling (15-3) made his Octagon debut in 2014 and was a highly touted prospect. Since then he has gone 7-3 under the promotional banner.

The New York native is calling his shot and if it does come to fruition it will be the biggest fight of his career.
