MMASucka attended Cage Titans media day for the upcoming event Cage Titans 39. At media day, MMASucka got the chance to speak to amateur flyweight champion, Kylie O’Hearn who fights on the upcoming event.

O’Hearn talked about growing up with a love of martial arts. The amateur champion spoke at length about playing sports throughout her childhood and how it led to her finding martial arts. She also spoke about the upcoming bout at CTFC 39, which included her opponent, amateur bantamweight champion, Taylor Thompson.

High Stakes Match-up

O’Hearn finds herself in a highly anticipated match-up when she goes up a weight class to challenge amateur bantamweight champion, Taylor Thompson for the 135 lb. strap. Since being announced, the match-up between O’Hearn and Thompson has received much fanfare.

Both fighters sit highly among the ranks of their respective divisions. They both also rank inside the top 11 pound for pound female fighters in the New England region. Their place among the ranks and the opposing two styles surely made this fight must-watch entertainment.

O’Hearn’s Record

Currently, Kylie O’Hearn holds a record of 3-1 with 2 KO stoppages. She claimed the promotions 125 lb. title. She did so by defeating LeNeisha Vinson in the second round of their championship contest. CTFC 39 marks the return of O’Hearn, as this is her first fight since claiming the flyweight championship.

Cage Titans 39

Cage Titans 39 takes place at Pinz in Kingston, Massachusetts on June 30th. The card is set to be smaller than the usual Cage Titans shows. In the main event, Peter Barrett takes Connor Barry. Other fights featured on the shortened card include Randy Costa making his much-awaited professional debut when he takes on Virginia fighter, Stacey Anderson.
