Guram Kutateladze is set to make his Brave Combat Federation debut, facing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace “Indio Brabo” Erick da Silva at Brave CF 16 in Abu Dhabi.
Kutateladze was initially slated to face Abdul Kareem Al Selwady on the main card of this show, but Selwady has since been replaced by da Silva.
This will be Erick da Silva’s fourth appearance in Brave Combat Federation. The BJJ specialist trains alongside upcoming UFC title-challenger Darren Till, and is 3-1 in the Brave organization. His sole loss came against the man originally set to face Guram; Al Selwady. Darren Till is currently expected to be in Erick da silva’s corner at Brave 16.
As a member of Astra Fight Team, Erick da Silva has a record of 22-5, making him one of the most experienced fighters in the lightweight division of Brave CF. Last time out, he faced Sweden’s Eric Carlsson at Brave 13 in Belfast. “Indio Brabo” was victorious after an intense three rounds of action, winning by way of unanimous decision.
Much like his opponent, Guram Kutateladze also trains with a world-class top contender in the UFC. He trains out of Allstars Training Center in Sweden with the likes of Alexander Gustafsson and Ilir Latifi.
As the newest member of Brave Combat Federation’s ever-evolving lightweight division, Guram is 8-2 as a professional – winning five via knockout. He is a winner of five-straight, all of which primarily took place on the Scandinavian regional scene.
The striker vs. grappler match-up will take place on September 21 at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Brave CF 16 will be headlined by two world title fights. Carlston Harris defends his welterweight championship against Jarrah Al Selawe, and Elias Boudegzdame will defend his featherweight scrap against Bellator veteran Bubba Jenkins.
