Unified MMA returns to Alberta, Canada for its 35th numbered show Friday. The Canadian based promotion brings forth an overtly exciting night stacked with three title fights and promising prospects from the great north.

Steele vs. Ash

The top of the card is arguably one of the deepest lineups the promotion ever rolled out. In the main event of Unified MMA 35, former UFC fighter Dominique Steele challenges middleweight champion, Teddy Ash. This clash of strikers should be interesting as Ash rolls into the event with a six-fight win streak. During that span, Ash captured the Unified MMA vacant middleweight title by defeating Seth Baczynski, in what was an exhilarating contest which ended via stoppage in the final seconds of the fight.

Steele comes into the title fight with recent success of his own. Since falling from the UFC roster, Steele is 3-2 with wins over Karl Amoussou and Travis Davis. At Unified MMA 35, the former Bellator and UFC fighter makes his promotional debut. Having fought for a healthy list of promotions across the world, this narrative is all but new for Steele.

Featured Title Fights

The other title fights set for Unified MMA 35 include Clay Dixon vs. Craig Shintani for the vacant featherweight title. As well as, James Siraj vs. Michael Hay for the also vacant bantamweight title. In the vacant featherweight title contest, Shintani looks to add to his impressive list of stoppage wins which account for six of his seven wins. His counterpart, Clay Dixon looks to capture the promotions featherweight title in only his second bout with the promotion.

In the bantamweight title bout, James Siraj and Michael Hay battle for position atop the Canadian regional rankings (rankings by tapology.com). The two young fighters are close in the rankings and whoever comes away with the title could catapult into the top 10 of all Canadian pro bantamweights.
