MMASucka’s Bellator London 2 Staff Picks

Part two of MMASucka staff picks this weekend are in. Tomorrow afternoon, November 23 will see Bellator London 2 take place from The SSE Arena in England. The main card will begin at 5:00pm ET (2:00pm PT) live on Bellator’s app free to download for both iPhone and Android providers. Check out part one of staff picks from earlier this morning’s ONE Championship: Edge of Greatness.

The Fights

The always-entertaining Michael “Venom” Page is ready to defend in home territory against the invading Gianni Melillo of Italy. Page’s undefeated run came to a terrifying halt in May after getting knocked out in vicious fashion to now-three time Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima. Although his run in the promotion’s Grand Prix came to an end, eh successfully rebounded with a sensational flying knee finish over Richard Kiely in September; his second of that form with Bellator. His opponent, Melillo, is ready to make his promotional debut in fight number eighteen of his career. Competing on the regional scene has seen improved performance including prior main event slots and capturing of promotional titles. Melillo looks to back up his recent decision win over Will “The Kill” Chope with another solid name to his resume.

A thrilling showdown in the co-main event is in store between former two-divisional BAMMA champion Terry Brazier and former two-divisional Cage Warriors champion Soren Bak. Brazier looks to find victory number two of 2019 at home while Denmark’s Bak hopes to add a sixth straight win to his name.

The final main card fight sees rivals Fabian Edwards and Michael Shipman set for battle at 185 pounds. Lightweights Charlie Leary and Tim Wilde are set to steal the show on the preliminary card. Although not on the main portion, this felt as a must to include as both men always deliver inside the cage. See our picks for Bellator London 2 below.

Staff Picks

Throughout the year, staff picks will be composed of four different MMA promotions: UFCBellatorONE, and RIZIN. Main cards will make up both UFC and Bellator picks, while the biggest fights to make up ONE and RIZIN events will be used. The WINNER of staff picks will have a choice between receiving a championship belt from ProAmBelts or a championship chain from Championship Chains. The 2018 winner was awarded to Michael DeSantis, compiling a record of 202-101.
